Yes it ended on GT while the manga ended with Z. Sure they may be working on the One Piece x Dragonball Z crossover but that's not part of the series. So yeah its over ended long time ago with Z, and for anime watchers GT

Even if they do make another DB series, it won't be as popular. I think people wouldn't wanna see "AAAAH POWER UP ITS OVER 9000" agian.. If they ever do make a new series, unless it's somehow original yet keeps the elements we all loved from the DB universe (pull it off?) IF they do make another series it'll be garbage. So.. be happy the series is come and gone.

Idk if i can agree on that on with you.....what if they made a series that mixed in the middle of the story lines or like the lost sagas....say if they did a make of life before gokus dad was born or frezza, or they could do one of something happining on another planet.

well technically the Manga series hasn't ended as Dragonball Online will be a follow up to the manga, whilst the Anime ended at GT

Oh BTW, That crossover was made in '06. It was called Cross Epoch. ;)

But I'm pretty sure its over. I would hope for a continuation, but I doubt it would happen.

They could do some more to it, such as somewhere between the original and Z, wouldn't follow on from GT but more follow on in detail from the original, not sure how that ended now and Z began but I'm sure they could work something out if they really wanted.

I mean, I can't see anything wrong with them briging it back, making it new and even picking up some new fans, it's just I don't think they really want to make more now, it's had it's time. People still like it and it's still shown on TV.

The problem you have from running on and on in this kind of anime in my view is that you'll just keep getting more and more power levels, always getting higher because of opponents that are more and more powerful, which gets silly after a while.

If it had more diolog and less fighting, that problem probably wouldn't be encounted as much but they aren't going to have "The Great Chess Championship Saga" because something like that would be silly.

Thought I'd tottally watch that.

Yes, the series is over. On TV anyway.

Dragonball Online, having Akira's character + plot development, could be the new GT. From what i've heard they are ignoring the events of GT and just continuing from Z...if so, what will you follow? GT? or the Akira developed Dragonball Online? Which do you think is the real ending?

Anyway, for the tele..DBZ is pretty much over and gone. Apart from possible specials i guess.

Yea Id have to agree with you on that one but hell the show will aways be a fav in my book even if they do bring it back with new series, I just think the writers are lazy.

If you would look at the time line, you would be able to follow both...

You never know.. DB is very popular.. still, even over a decade after it's final episode. Making a whole new series may take away credibility from the old Z there's probably close to 500 episodes in total which this anime has. How much more can you go for a linear storyline until you run out of ideas.

Well you have younger charactors in it that haven't grown up yet, so you could introduce newer threats, they could even moderise it a little with the threat of terrorisem, ahaha, no that's a silly idea. But there is still possiblity but they won't and I think everyone knows that.
